In his four starts this season, Lester has displayed his dominance but also the inconsistency that makes him frustrating to watch at times--most recently against the Twins.
In that start the lefty allowed 4ER in the fourth and another in the fifth before blanking the Twins in the sixth and seventh.
The start before that was a disaster at the hands of the powerful Texas Rangers. In that game Lester ran into trouble early, throwing 49 pitches in the second inning and allowing 7 ER in just 2 IP.
His first two starts of the season were very encouraging. A 7 inning, 1 run performance on Opening Day followed by an 8 inning, 3 run showing in his second start but things have unraveled quickly for the Sox' horse and he looks to get back to form tonight against the lowly Chicago White Sox.
