According to multiple reports (I know I said the same thing yesterday), Red Sox fourth round draft pick, Ty Buttrey, will be allowed to walk with his graduating class, after all.
Apparently the rumor was product of a misunderstanding in which Buttrey and his family assumed that, because he had missed the rehearsal, he would be barred from taking part in the activities. A notion that principal Tracey Harrill shot down, saying that she had never told the pitching prospect he couldn't walk at Providence Senior High School's annual event.
Whether the decision to allow Ty Buttrey to walk in the graduation was about reputation or genuine care is anyone's guess. What matters is a young man will not be forced to miss a once in a lifetime event.
Now that we've cleared that up, let's get ready for Red Sox baseball. Clay Buchholz looks to build on a pair of strong starts opposing Baltimore lefty, Brian Matusz.
